Shipping Policy

Thank you for visiting and shopping at BrooklineBooksmith.com. The following are the terms and conditions of our Shipping Policy.

Domestic Shipping Policy

Shipment Processing Time

All orders are processed within 2-3 business days. Orders are not shipped or delivered on weekends or holidays.

If we are experiencing a high volume of orders, shipments may be delayed by a few days. Please allow additional days in transit for delivery. If there will be a significant delay in shipment of your order, we will contact you via email or telephone.

Also, if some of the books that you request are out of stock at the store and need to be ordered, we will wait to ship your order until we receive all of your books. If you would prefer for your books to be shipped as they are available, there will be an additional shipping fee for each package.

Shipping Rates & Delivery Estimates

Shipping charges for your order will be calculated and displayed at checkout.

As you may know, there will be temporary USPS rate increases through the holiday season this year, ending December 26, 2020. Our new shipping rates are reflected below.

*Only books and CDs can be sent via USPS Media Mail, but it is an uninsured shipping method. We will contact you if your order is not eligible for Media Mail.

The post office is also experiencing delays due to the COVID-19 crisis, especially with USPS Media Mail. If an order is time-sensitive, such a gift, we recommend ordering further in advance than you normally would and choosing USPS Priority Mail.

Shipment to P.O. Boxes or APO/FPO Addresses

BrooklineBooksmith.com ships to addresses within the U.S., U.S. Territories, and APO/FPO/DPO addresses

Local Delivery

We do not offer local delivery.

Shipment Confirmation & Order tracking

You will receive a Shipment Confirmation email once your order has shipped. If you would like your USPS tracking number, please email us at orders@brooklinebooksmith.com.

Damaged or Lost Items

BrooklineBooksmith.com is not liable for any products damaged or lost during shipping. If you received your order damaged or a package is missing, claims must be made with the USPS directly. We can provide the USPS tracking number if you email us at orders@brooklinebooksmith.com.

International Shipping Policy

We currently do not ship outside the U.S.
