In recognition of Juneteenth, Brookline Booksmith presents an in-conversation event with authors Lisa Stringfellow and Quintin Collins, joined by bookseller Lauren James. This event aims to present a holistic and celebratory view of Black resilience, joy and excellence.

Lisa Stringfellow writes middle grade fiction and has a not-so-secret fondness for fantasy with a dark twist. Her debut fantasy A Comb of Wishes was released on February 8, 2022 by HarperCollins/Quill Tree Books.

Quintin Collins (he/him) is a writer, editor, and Solstice MFA Program assistant director. His first poetry collection is The Dandelion Speaks of Survival, and his second collection is Claim Tickets for Stolen People, winner of the Charles B. Wheeler Prize.
