SUMMARY:Create Art Class with Diane Bigda\: Drawing in the Dark\: An Experiment in Contour Drawing
DESCRIPTION:<p>Popularized by Betty Edwards\, blind contour drawing is a way to turn drawing on its head. In this course we will create wild interpertations of observaional drawing. This exercise is called “pure contour drawing” from the book The New Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain. By attempting to draw a continuos outline without looking at your paper\, we introduce a new way to approach drawing\, as well as create new and unexpected illustrations of familiar objects.</p>
 <p></p>
 <p>Ages 8 to 12.</p>
 <p>Class limited to 12 students.</p>
 <p>You must pre-register\, fee is $40 per student per class. You can sign up for one or all four classes for $145. </p>

 <p>Diane Bigda is a teacher at the Art Institute of Boston\, where she teaches watercolor\, natural history drawing\, surface design and book illustration. She is the creator of all the Clearflour Bakery posters and the tree in the back of the Booksmith.</p>
