One of the New Yorker’s 20 Under 40, David Bezmozgis
is the author of Natasha and Other Stories, which won the Commonwealth
Writers’ Prize. In his first novel, The Free World, he examines the
world of 1978 Rome
through three generations of a family of Russian Jews.
Debra Spark is a former NEA fellow and award-winning author
of Coconuts for the Saint, The Ghost of Bridgetown and Good
for the Jews. In her new book of stories, she blends the line between art
and magic, from a Victorian toy theatre to a graphic novelist’s all-too-real
creations.
