Award-winning poet Kevin Young (Jelly Roll, For the Confederate Dead), whose work has been featured in Best American and on NPR's All Things Considered, returns to the Booksmith for his first work of nonfiction. The Grey Album, winner of the Greywolf Press Nonfiction Prize is a history of the African-American tradition of storytelling, telling tales, fibbing, improvising, and "jazzing" that shows African-American culture as American culture and art as the center of our daily lives.
